This is an excellent opportunity to take an active leadership role in a dynamic and growing firm. The candidate must have related prior valuation experience and will be expected to demonstrate high-quality work while being an effective and productive manager. Core Responsibilities
- Planning, organizing, conducting, and managing various valuation engagements
- Excellent communication skills required for interacting with clients, auditors, and partners
- Managing a team while being accountable for the weekly progression and reporting of the engagement to the respective account head in the team
- Responsible and accountable for quality control and accuracy of deliverables
- Oversees multiple engagements simultaneously
- Writes complex valuation reports and summarizes analyses and conclusions
- Works collaboratively with the team and is a positive contributor to the firm’s culture
- Leads, trains, and mentor’s the team typically comprising of assistant managers, senior analysts, analysts /associates
- Planning for internal and external training for the team’s personal and professional development
Experience and Requirements
- Minimum seven years of total experience (with a minimum of four years of business valuation experience);
- Working knowledge of the below will have a preference:
- Portfolio Valuations/ Fair Value Measurements (ASC 820, formerly SFAS 157)
- Embedded Derivatives (ASC 815)
- Equity Incentive Awards (ASC 718 and IRC 409A)
- Business Combinations (ASC 805, IRC section 1060)
- Experience of working in the Big Four’s valuation team or in a leading valuation firm will have a preference
- Ability to lead a team
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, written, and presentation skills
Qualifications
- MBA (Premier B-School)
- Add-on: MS (Finance), CA and/or CFA (CFA Institute, USA)
- Certifications including ASA, CVA, and/or ABV are preferred
